How to Block metro apps from connecting to internet.
Most of you know the procedures for blocking a software from accessing the internet. But many of you don't know how to block a Metro app(Apps from windows store) from accessing the internet. I will help you to block them. So follow me carefully. Do steps in correct order
1 Show hidden files
Windows 8 / 8.1 users
2, Type "folder" into the search bar and select Show hidden files and folders.
3, Then, click on the View tab at the top of the window.
4, Under Advanced Settings, locate "Hidden files and folders." ...
5, Click on OK.
6, Hidden files will now be shown when performing searches in Windows Explorer.
Windows 10 users
1, Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
2, Click the View tab.
3, Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
2, Configuring Firewall
Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall. In the left pane, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.Then turn on windows firewall.

Create a Window Firewall rule, you first need to open up the advanced Firewall interface. To do so navigate to the Control Panel and select Windows Firewall to bring up the basic Firewall interface like so.
There you click on “Advanced settings” to access the advanced Firewall interface (alternatively, you can search for “firewall” with the Start Menu search and select “Firewall with Advanced Security” to jump right to the menu).
In the far left navigation pane, select “Outbound Rules”. This will pull up all the existing outbound firewall rules
In the far right navigation pane select “New Rule…” to create a new rule for outbound traffic.
By default the rule type selection should be “Program”, but confirm that it is before clicking “Next”.
3 Find App location
1, Open the app you want to block
2, Go to task manager by right clicking the taskbar
3, In task manager, find your app
4, Right click it and select open file location
5, Copy the folder location
back to the firewall and hit browse
on the yellow painted bar paste the app location and hit open.
In the folder, Select the application file and hit open. I'm blocking Weather app from accessing the internet.
Once you’ve selected your application and confirmed the path, click “Next”.
On the next screen confirm that “Block the connection” is selected. Click “Next”.
Hit next and in the next page Give a name and description for the rule.And click finish.
All done. Now you have blocked an app from accessing the internet.
