HTC prices One A9 launched in India at Rs.29,990

HTC on Tuesday announced that its latest mid-range flagship phone, the One A9 will be available for buy at Rs.29,990 starting from December 15 exclusively via Snapdeal. The One A9 will be available for registration from December 9 to December 14. It will be available in the colours: Carbon Gray and Pearl Silver.
The HTC One A9 was announced in late November in India along with the Desire 828. The company did not reveal pricing of the two phones at that time and said both the phones will be available for buy some time in December. The Desire 828 is yet to be made available in the country.
HTC's One A9 has generated quite the buzz -- a large part of it in negative light -- since it oddly resembles Apple's iPhone 6S . There are still others who say it was Apple that copied HTC in the first place. Whatever be the case, the One A9 definitely is a gradual evolution of the company's premium One range. It has been primarily designed to replace the One M9 (and One M9+) which was the company's top-end flagship. The One A9 however has been priced aggressively in comparison. This is also in line with its spec sheet which is in fact boasting of mid-range hardware.
The HTC One A9 has a 5-inch FullHD AMOLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protective covering. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable by up to 200GB via microSD card.
The dualSIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Sense 7 UI. The One A9 is officially the first non-Nexus smartphone to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. According to the company, the phone will receive every software update within 15 days of Google's first push to Nexus.
The One A9 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation, autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. 4K video recording is not supported. There's also a 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor on the front.
The One A9 comes with a physical home button on the front that doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. The 4G LTE capable phone uses a non-removable 2,150 mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0.
